Adopt a Neighborhood
The Adopt-A-Neighborhood Program recognizes the commitment of volunteers to keep our City’s roadways and sidewalks free from litter, debris, and weeds in an effort to beautify our community.

Individuals, community groups, organizations or business owners are invited to participate.  Volunteers who adopt a neighborhood, and conduct litter pickup and weed control at least four times per year, will be presented with a Certificate of Appreciation and receive recognition on this website and in the community newsletter.  The City provides trash bags to collect debris and will pick up filled bags.

Volunteers are encouraged but not required to beautify their adopted neighborhoods with flowers, trees, etc., as well as, lend a helping hand to neighbors who need assistance maintaining their property.

How to Adopt a Neighborhood

  1. Read over the City’s Guidelines for Adopting a Neighborhood.
  2. Complete the Adopt-A-Neighborhood Application form and return to City Hall at 415 N. Market.
