MARYVILLE, MO – On Monday, April 27, 2010 the City Council unanimously adopted the coneflower (Echinacea purpurea) as the official flower of the City of Maryville.

To compliment the Pride of Maryville (POM) program, the Maryville City Council adopted this flower to promote City beautification efforts, as well as to unify the landscaping of Maryville. This perennial beauty was chosen for its easy maintenance and drought-tolerant characteristics and for its wide array of color choices.

The City of Maryville invites property owners and businesses to join us in helping to beautify Maryville by planting coneflowers at your residences or businesses.
