Driver Examinations
Driver examinations are given by the State of Missouri drivers' license examiners on Thursday and Friday at 8:00 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1:00 p.m., and 4:00 p.m. at the Northside Mall, 115 East Fourth Street. Motorcycle tests are given at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday and Friday. The License Examination office number is (660) 373-9247.

If you have just become a resident of the State of Missouri, you must make application for a Missouri driver's license, even if you still have a valid driver's license from another state, within 30 days of residency. No testing is required unless your driver's license or ID is expired more than 180 days. If you do not need testing then you go directly to the License Bureau located at 423 North Market Street.

After passing a written test, you will need to go to the License Bureau, 423 North Market St. to make an application for your driver's license. You will need to take to the License Bureau the following:
  • Your out of State license or non-drivers ID
  • Your Social Security Card or other appropriate documents from the State list
